Fundraising

The EVBA supplements the funds provided by the Eastern Regional Camden County School District with the ultimate goal to minimize cost of participation for all students and enable any student who wants to participate to do so and to help the Marching Programs stay competitive. In recent years, funds raised have been used to completely fund Indoor Drumline uniforms and props and to purchase a new portable quiet generator for the Marching Band. Community and EVBA Member support is crucial to the success of our fundraisers and there are many ways you can help from volunteering to sit on the fundraising committee, to attending a dine and donate, to soliciting ads for our Home Show programs. This year, please commit to getting involved in one or more of these initiatives which are increasingly critical to maintaining and strengthening the competitive level of the Marching Viking Programs.

These are a few ways we raise funds throughout each Marching Season:

Dine and Donate Events: The EVBA holds dine and donate events throughout the year at local restaurants and ice cream shops. We rely on parents to spread the word and distribute flyers on social media and to friends and family to ensure a big turnout. The more we eat, the more money we make!

Air Grams and Candy Grams: At each Home Show, the EVBA sells Air Grams and Candy Grams as a way to raise money and congratulate all participants. The EVBA asks for candy donations for Candy Grams as each Home Show approaches.

Designer Bag Bingo: This is EVBA’s biggest fundraiser. Held in January each year, the EVBA sponsors this fun-filled night out including 10 games of bingo, a 50/50 raffle, door prizes and basket raffles. To support this event, the EVBA asks for parents to seek donations for the raffle baskets which generate a lot of the funds raised at this event.

Program Ads: The EVBA puts together a program for each Home Show. Each family is asked to sell at least 2 one-eighth page ads for each Home Show program (a family who places an ad can count that ad toward their 2 ads). The ads pay for the program printing and any extra money raised goes toward fundraising goals.

Spirit Wear: The EVBA sells Spirit Wear including shirts, sweatpants, sweatshirts, buttons and other items so you can support the Marching Vikings and show your Viking Pride!

Meal Donations and Sponsorships are another great way to raise funds for the Marching Vikings. If you know a local restaurant that would like to donate a meal for the band, or know of a company or individual might be interested in sponsoring a meal or equipment purchase please contact an EVBA Board Member.

If you have any additional fundraising ideas, please do not hesitate to present them at an EVBA meeting or contact an EVBA Board Member.
